Eduardo Carrano received his undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering from Universidade Federal de São João Del-Rei (2003) and his Doctor in Electrical Engineering degree from Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais in 2007. Between 2007 and 2008 he spent 6 months as a post-doctoral fellow with UFMG's Department of Mathematics, and between 2008 and 2011 he was an assistant professor with the Department of Computing at Centro Federal de Educação Tecnológica de Minas Gerais (CEFET-MG). Starting July 2011, prof. Carrano joined the Department of Electrical Engineering at UFMG as an Assistant Professor, where his main research topics include evolutionary computation, combinatorial and multiobjective optimisation, and statistical evaluation of algorithms.
